Give Martin Schapper a call at Q.W., if there is a way he would know.

Do you open up a new report for each month, listing the donations received that month? Is that the 50 reports?

If so, I assume that the names may be the same for several of the reports? Many may be new donations or one time individuals?

Again if so, you need to have a single report listing every person (company) makes a donation.

In each of the 50 reports you would Total To the single report, where a duplicate account for each individual (company) would be listed. Then you will be able to get the info needed.

You can use BLKCOPY & BLKPASTE, to copy each of the 50 report accounts in the Single report. Then use SORTREPT, to organize by Name or Description (hopefully you’ve used a similar name or the same description where the person is the same. Then delete the duplicates.

If an old procedure isn’t working, delete it in the Procedures then run GETLIB and NV1. This will reinstall the procedure. ps: if you are printing cheques you will have to reinstall NV1PD7

You can use the previous years templates. Remember if you modify a template to Parse it. I use T4L03.TPL, which has 28 lines.

What Martin is saying, Press Enter at Books, then / D. Arrow to the Q drive and press Enter

When you are at the Q drive, if the books are there, arrow to them and press Enter. If they are in another directory, arrow to the directory then press / E. When you find the books, press Enter.

Use Windows Explorer to ensure you can access the V drive. If you can see the directories on the V drive with Explorer than NV will recognize it.

I agree, but there are programs which work, some better than others. Maybe we can convince Bob at Softrite to write the usb print program.

He’s working on the XML file for filing T4’s over the Internet required by Rev Can. It’s almost done and the initial files looked good.

Assume you re-checked the NET USE command to ensure its still connected? Also that you did not miss spell LPT1 or leave a space in front of it?

In most cases I’ve gone to a DOS Print program. It’s slower, but recognizes usb printers.

Is it a 32bit or 64 bit version of win7? NV only works with 32bit.

Did you backup before you did the windows restore? The restore probably overwrote you data with the previous data.

If you are setting up a new set of books the easiest way to get all your PD disks, payroll and templates copied over is to Block every thing in PRC and use #1 and 2 above.

    1. you can block the Template then use /GR PUTPROCS and save it somewhere on your computer.

    2. In the new books use /GR GETPROCS and overwrite

    3. You can Block the Notes view of the template, then use / BX and save to a file

4.In the new books, delete notes of template then use / BI enter location.

The HP2035 printer comes with a parallel port and USB. It also comes as a network printer.

This is a fairly new printer and the only one I’ve found with a parallel port.
