Happily this is working now – was it fixed in 2.08?

However, I thought that custom analysis settings set at the parent report level would filter through to the subreport automatically?? Instead, what I find is that I can save two different custom analysis settings for the same subreport, depending on whether I access it directly from the explorer, or by expanding on a line in the subreport view on the parent report. But neither of these settings are coming from the parent report. Is there a way to create a ‘trickle down’ effect with these report views?

    Thank you,

Thank you, you were right – we had overlapped a row. All’s well now.

    Replying to HMah:

Since alpha sorts higher than numeric, why not just put a letter – any letter – at the beginning of your 20509-01-01 rec value, and then it will increment that as the highest value. For instance, A20509-01-01, A20509-01-02, etc.

    Just a thought.

Some of our sets of books are postivively labyrinthine, going back to the 80’s, with lots of retired journals and about 8,000 accounts.

Is there a report I can generate showing me all my accounts and what I have ATYPED them to before I convert?

It would be great to have a way to double-check my work before what will most likely be a week-long import/conversion process. I would hate to have to go through the whole conversion again, because I had mistyped a few of our 8,000 accounts, and once I’m in NV2 I can’t change their typing.

On that subject, are there plans for enabling us to change the ATYPE of an account that already has postings in it, at some point in the future? That kind of flexibility – that currently allows us change any transaction, account name, account normal balance, report structure, and so forth – is a NV signature. Can it apply to Atypes as well?!?

That’s great for printing a list of only accounts with a current balance, but you add the ‘skip accounts with zero balance’ option to the Pay Account function?

Right now, it will only skip accounts with a zero balance IF I turn the approval feature off. I like to approve each invoice one last time before I pay it, but it’s a huge waste of time to have to page through all my zero balance accounts in the process.

I think printing customer statements gives you this option, but not paying invoices.

    Thank you!

Like many people, we enter a massive number of transactions each day, and NV1 has been great for handling quantities of data that would take considerably longer to enter in most other programs. How does NV2 compare, in terms of raw data entry (posting invoices, receivables, etc.)?

To me it seems slower, in addition to requiring an extra keystroke (Alt A), but we are still in the process of transitioning and have not tried to enter a full day of posting in NV2 yet.

Does anyone who is up and running with NV2 have a sense of the comparative data entry time?

    Thank you,

    Tamara

Are there any NV2 registered consultants or retailers in the Midwestern US, that would be available for onsite training? We are located in Bloomington, IN.
