Output File Names

Email / Mail Merge - File Name options

Note: Optional file names settings. When you are printing documents (invoices, statements) from a Block of accounts you need to control the number of files created during the printing to file process.

  1. By specifying a file name without the %_ character a single file will be created.
  2. By specifying a file name with the %_ character multiple files will be created.

When sending a copy of your customer statements to your comptroller you may wish to use method 1 above and send a single file containing all the statements. When sending a copy of your customer statements to your customers you need to use method 2 above and create individual files for each statement.
