Printing Template Files

When you installed NewViews, over 250 document templates were installed in the printing_templates folder. (The printing_templates folder is located in the NV2 installation folder.)

The main printing_templates folder is subdivided into several document type folders.

• 1099
• checks
• demo
• donor_receipts
• html
• invoices
• mail_merge
• my_templates
• packing_list
• payroll_ca
• payroll_us
• purchase_order
• statements
• T5_T5018
• test_templates

Each of the above folders contains Excel® files used by NewViews to print documents. Note: If you reinstall NV2, or install a newer version of NV2, the templates named above will be overwritten and any changes you made will be lost. For this reason we strongly suggest that if you modify a template that you move it to the my_templates folder to ensure that your changes will not be lost.

The my_templates folder should become your default directory for all your printing templates when running NewViews in single user mode.

If you are using NewViews in multi-user mode we strongly suggest that you place the my_templates in a shared folder on the NewViews server.
