Use mouse shortcuts to manage the workspace, view and browse accounts, journals and reports within NV2. Mouse shortcuts can be used in addition to the various keyboard shortcuts.
Left Click | Selects or highlights the field that the mouse pointer is pointing to. | |
Right Click | Activates the Context menu for further selection. The context menus can be moved anywhere on the screen so you can see all your data, all the time. Pressing the Esc key or clicking anywhere else on the screen quickly dismisses these menus. | |
Double Click | Expand | On a table row to expand. The double click is interpreted as F6. Focus moves to an inner window to display more detailed information about the current item. |
Define Column | On a table column header to edit the properties of the column. The double click is interpreted as F11 or View>Analysis>Multiple Column Setup. | |
Open | In the workstation the double click on a login row will open the database. | |
Click and Drag | Left click and hold the mouse on an object (edge of a screen, column border, accounts screen, etc.), then while still holding the left mouse button, drag the object to the desired location. By doing this on a screen edge you can resize the window, or make a column wider or narrower, etc. | |
Expand | By selecting any Expand image or , you will move to an inner window to display more detailed information about the current item. The inner window will be below or to the right of the current window. This is the opposite of Contract. This is very similar to the NV1 Document>Expand command. | |
Contract | By selecting any Contract image or , you will move to an outer window. The outer window will be above or to the left of the current window, depending on the window arrangement. This is the opposite of Expand. This is very similar to the NV1 Document>Contract command. | |
Scroll Bar | On the right side of the screen, the gray bar with arrows at the top and bottom is the Scroll Bar. The Scroll bar allows you to move up and down within a screen to see additional items that are hidden by the limitations of the screen's size. | |
Enlarge Text | Within each windowpane, the size of the text may be enlarged or reduced by using the mouse wheel in combination with the control key on the keyboard. Similarly, the text of this manual may also be increased. On some computers using the mouse wheel to change the size of the text of the manual does not work. In this case, you can change the size of the text by clicking on the Font icon located on the menu bar at the top of this windowpane. |
You can adjust the double-click speed of the mouse to make it respond faster or slower to meet your accessibility needs. You adjust the double-click speed of the mouse through Mouse Properties in Control Panel.
