In most cases you would only print T4A slips in January or February for all individuals paid in the prior year. The main exception to this rule is if the business is closed and T4As must be issued in mid-year.

In NV2 Payroll, T4A slips may be printed for any year, whenever required. There are no year-end "closing" steps - T4A information is always available up-to-date and "on-screen". You simply print it.
It is important to determine whether a worker is an employee or a self-employed individual. Revenue Canada has a publication RC4110(E) that will help you understand how to determine a worker's employment status.
A T4A slip is used to report the following types of income:
T4As can be generated from both payroll and accounts payable. If a worker is not an employee nor an incorporated company, the individual should be set up under accounts payable.
