Document Templates

Document templates control all aspects of the printed result.

The Excel template spreadsheet can contain any combination of fonts you like, as well as WordArt, Clip Art images, etc.

Template installation directory

When you installed NewViews, over 250 document templates were installed in the print_templates folder. (The print_templates folder is located in the NV2 installation folder.)

Invoice template types

There are three types of customer invoice templates. Excel files names with _1 and _2 in the file name.

• The transaction detail comment field prints in the item detail of the template if no _1 or _2 are in the template file name.
• _1 The transaction detail account description field prints in the item detail of the template if a _1 is in the template file name.
• _2 The transaction detail account description and comment fields print as a combined value in the item detail of the template if a _2 is in the template file name.
