Many of the template files are for specific forms manufacturer's forms. In these cases the names of the template is composed of the manufacturer's name, the type of document, and the manufacturer's form number.
For example, safeguard_check_16001.xls is a template for Safeguard check form number 16001.
You can modify these templates in any way you like. You can also copy and/or rename the templates to customize the results.
There are several document test templates. Each document test template contains all the fields (cell names) for a specific type of document. i.e. the "test_template_check.xls" template has all the check print fields that may be used on check templates on a single excel spreadsheet.
These test templates can be used to verify the print output from a transaction.
The test templates start with "test_template_" and are installed
in the c:/nv/print_templates/test_templates folder.

For this reason we strongly suggest that if you modify a template that you either rename it, or move it to another folder to ensure that your changes will not be lost.
