When printing checks, there are six options to control the formatting of the check date, and the check amounts. As seen in the example below, the options occupy the bottom six lines of the settings window.
The first three options are mainly supplied to satisfy the check specifications imposed by the Canadian Payments Association that came into effect between 2006 and 2008.
This setting controls the formatting of the date printed on check templates using the cell name OCRCHECKDATE
Under the CPA specifications, the date must be printed as 8 digits, in one of three formats: ddmmyyyy, mmddyyyy, or yyyymmdd.
To set the date format for your checks, press <F3> and choose from the following formats:

Single and double-spaced version of each format are available to accommodate any possible formatting requirements.
This setting controls the formatting of the amount printed on check templates using the cell name CHECKAMOUNTASTERISK
To set the amount format for your checks, press <F3> and choose from the following formats:

Note that the above examples use the currency symbol $. The symbol will be replaced with the symbol specified in the Currency Symbol option below, if different.
This setting controls the formatting of the amount in words printed on check templates using the cell name TEXTAMOUNT

Note that the above examples use the currency name dollar and the currency fraction name cent. These will be replaced with the Currency Name and Currency Fraction Name specified in the options below when different.
The remaining three options define the currency symbol and names that are used in formatted amounts.
This setting controls the currency symbol used in some of the Asterisk Amount Format choices. Together, these settings control the format of the amount printed using the CHECKAMOUNTASTERISK template cell name.
For Canada and the U.S.A. you would enter $.
This setting controls the currency word used in some of the Check Text Amount Format choices. Together, these settings control the format of the text amount printed using the TEXTAMOUNT template cell name.
For Canada and the U.S.A. you would enter dollar.
This setting controls the fractional currency word used in some of the Check Text Amount Format choices. Together, these settings control the format of the text amount printed using the TEXTAMOUNT template cell name.
For Canada and the U.S.A. you would enter cent.
