NewViews Starter Books
Starter Books can be used to create a new set of books that already contains generic financial reports, a trial balance, and sample customer, vendor and sales accounts. It is strongly recommended that you use Starter Books to create each new set of books, as this is usually much easier than creating a new set of books from scratch.
Several Starter Books are provided with each NewViews installation. These files can be found in the directory:
c:/nv/starter_setups (provided that NewViews was installed in the default directory c:/nv)
Additional Starter Books can be downloaded using the links provided below. Please note that these books are set up for accrual vs cash basis accounting. If you use cash basis accounting, you can hide the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables folders.
All Starter Books are fully modifiable. Any hidden items (i.e. Payroll) can be exposed and used at any time. Download files range from 1.7 to 3.0 MBytes.
Important! Do NOT click RUN when prompted after clicking the links below. You must SAVE the file(s) to your computer before opening the Starter Books with NewViews.
