I have created a sub-journal in the purchase journal – no matter what I do I cannot get the Tax 1 field to pick up what I have set up in the Trade Information for this journal – it seems that something is overriding it and that it could be the “expense” and “inventory” default settings in accounts – I have been successful with the rate change but would like a different description for the Tax 1 field in each of my purchase sub-journals. Although it may seem unsual I want the description in the Tax 1 field to read other than “GST PAID”.

You can press F11 on a column cell to change and alter the Title Value. This change is for this column title, it does not affect the cross account title.
