The NV1 Copyana method would be to Menu select Window > Copy Tables Columns from the source Window and then menu select Window > Paste Table columns in the target window.

Go to the Purchase Journal (HST ) and double click on an invoice and then double lick on one of the item details. This will display the expense item in a green ledger window. The second button tab of this window will display the HST Tax ledger. I wonder if this is a different posting account or the expense account?

The HST or Tax1 Account is set under NewViews > Journal > Purchase, Journal > Tax Information Settings.

Check the NewViews > Journal > General Journal > Settings tab button under Partition tags. You have double partition of financial and budget.

I suspect you have also set the root General Journal to financial. Remove this financial and then remove the financial from your budget journal. All other journals should remain as financial.

ENAME is a valid name field for Print > Checks.

You can email your template to support@qwpage.com and reference this forum posting.

The above error can be resolved by opening Region under the Windows Control Panel and select Additional Settings. Under the Numbers tab button, set the number formats to match your template and click OK to save.

I suspect that there is a language conflict between Windows and and the template you are using.

Create a new Amount Column displaying your bank accounts and double click on the new amount column and set the Tag to Display to your allocation tag. You can press F3 to select the available tags from a list of all tags in your application database.

Allocation tags are set in the details of a journal transaction.

Read the NV2 online help regarding allocation tags for complete details.

To avoid this error from Excel, make sure Windows has a default Printer set. It needs to be defaulted by the user of the machine. Uncheck allow Windows to manage the printer.

You can add the Graphic Lines to the template and style style sheets.
I suggest that you save the originals as a backup for your testing.

I suspect that the workstation.nv2 file you are using is located in another directory/folder and or yo have specified some extra command line syntax to run NewViews 2.0

The Demo Books choice from the NewViews 2.0 menu specifies simple command line syntax. Perhaps you can open and close the Demo Books on your system.

Do you receive an error message?

Verify that the NV1 databases are not read only and that you have suitable permissions to access the NV1 Database folders using your emulator.

There are many emulators. DOSBox-SVN-Daum works on Windows 10. It has decent help and configuration files that you can control.

The workstation log out backup is created every seven days. If the system date is greater than the last workstation_backup logout file date then a logout backup is created. If no workstation backup logout file exists then the file is created automatically at logout.

You can move the log out backups or rename them via a batch script to have NV2 create a workstation backup logout file.

An alternative is to menu select File > Backup from the NewViews workstation table.

    Hello Wendy,

You do not need to change the rates for payroll as the rates are calculated automatically. The displayed rows are for employer matching employees contributions. Typical values are:

    Employer CPP Contribution Rate 1.0
    Employer CPP2 Contribution Rate 1.0
    Employer EI Contribution Rate 1.4

Do not change the Pay Period Anchor Date for the new year. Once this date is set, leave it. This date represents the end of the payroll pay period for Record of Employment purposes.

    Regards to All,
    Martin
