I use many database explorers and I was under the impression that these explorers are totally isolated for all their settings.

In one explorer, I created a private setup for a Report folder.
Then, I realized that all my customs settings for reports are gone in all the other explorers, and they also have a private setup for the same reports. I had many settings and I now need to recreate them.

How come the default and private setups are not strictly confined to the current explorer?

I finally restored the last workstation.nv2 file from the backup_logout

Yes. Restoring the workstation will revert the views back to your original saved settings.

THe settings on Reports are system wide. It would become confusing if the settings we set to just one explorer.
