I am having trouble changing the year end for one of my sets of books.

the path to my books is C:NVSVEJV

Could you let me know what I need to type in at DOS prompt?

** Make an Internal Backup and be sure you can access books. Move all your journal Ledgers to one report. I also suggest moving your Bank account(s) to the same report. Then

At dos type

cdnv
Enter
nvreorg svejv /nye: (date) /ems:8192
enter

I typed in what you said, but I am now getting an error that says “Not enough memory to run NV Reorg”

This could/would happen if you use the “DOS Command” option from the NewViews shell.

Instead, you must open an MS-DOS/Command Prompt window. Assuming you are using Win 2K or Win XP:

Click ‘Start’, then click ‘Programs’ or “All Programs’, then “Accesories’, then ‘Command Prompt’.

This should open a DOS window with enough memory to run the reorg.
