I want to move all my program and data files to my new laptop.
But, the laptop has no floppy drive.
I would appreciate any suggestions on how to do that.
    Thanks

You can copy your NewViews program folder to a CD, zip disk, or a USB key and then to your laptop.

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply.
What is the folder name for the program?
    For the data?

The default path and name of the folder is c:nv. Run the SUPPORT procedure to confirm.

Hi,After all this time I have been backing up nv with floppies (all 19 of them!) and now its time to come into the 21st century. I have copied my nv data to a USB hardrive using windows explorer. But how do I now restore these files to my new desktop? I’ve downloaded the nv 1.41b programme into my new desktop and have made a new set of books with the same name as on my laptop. I’ve made the file e: instead of a: as that is the USB connection drive on my desktop. When I try to restore I get the message that the e: was not created by a backup. So what am I doing wrong?

Since you used Win Exp to backup then use it to restore.

If you use the NV backup (after setting drive to e:) then you can use the NV restore.
