I have been trying to convert books for a customer this week with no success.
Allway fail on import when it gets to payroll.
Tonight I tried nv2.08.16 and it worked then converted to 2.09
It seems that nv2.09 does not create employee payroll accounts.
    These are the errors reported.

This error has been corrected in the upcoming release to NV2 (2.09.7) which should be released this week.

The problem is that one or more payroll transactions are being entered in the Canada Payroll journal which were not associated with a Paycheck created from PAYRUN or TCPROCES.

Version 2.08 allowed this to import whilst the current version 2.09.6 will not.

Wait till 2.09.7 is released and import again. Fixing the problem in NV1 could be tedious so wait till 2.09.7.

    Sorry for any inconvenience.

    Regards,

    Martin

Do you see any problems in using 2.08 to import and then upgrade to 2.09 ?

I don’t see a problem but you still need 2.09.7 to update to 2.09.

    Hi Martin

The process I was thinking is

    nv1 to nv2.08.16
    nv2.08.16 to nv2.09.06

From the test I have done it seems that the problem is not with nv2 but the nv1 to nv2 script in nv2.09

The database seems to convert to 2.09.06 with no problem from nv2.08.16

I am in the process of converting a 340 meg set of books tonight.
I will see what the results are in the morning.

    Looking forward to the update.

The use of a USB drive does work better , from 1 hour per batch with internal drive to 23 min with USB.

A ram drive will also work for conversion, 15 min per batch.
Set backup switch to backup to harddrive just in case of crash.

    Thomas
