We would like to use a backup copy of the real book hosted on the NV server for training purpuses. Unfortunatly we are getting an error related to the same database ID (see below) even when we are notr trying to open them at the same time:
.text {Could not open database “c:/data/newsweb”.}
.help_id 314120050226151801
.directory c:/data/newsweb
/25 {
.text {Database “c:/data/newsweb” has the same database id as database “c:/data/test_newsweb”.}
.database_id 20060331202819
.database_directory c:/data/newsweb
.existing_database_directory c:/data/test_newsweb
.help_id 314120050421101817
.server_name nvserver
}
Is there any work around to have both database “newsweb” and “test_newsweb” used?
Thank you, Alex Sydney
Alex,
Close both sets of books and from the NV2 workstation right mouse click and click the plus on Tools > Script Evaluate. Double click on the NV20.EXE folder
and then double click on the SYSTEM folder. You will now see a script called
database_id_set.qw_script – click on this script. Follow the prompts to change the database ID of either your C:/data/test_newsweb or c:/data/newsweb databases.
Regards,
Martin
