Tried everything with no success, and didn’t want to mess around with the Registry, so I restored the system to the latest back-up (two days ago) and all working fine. I’ll have to continue to make do without NewViews on the Taskbar – Microsoft does not want it there as “this type of program can be dangerous”.

Thanks – turning off FAST ACTIVE did the trick

My PC does not have a floppy drive so I have had to install NV via a copy. Does anyone know a way of disabling the error message referred to by Henry Mah, as clicking on IGNORE every time is getting most annoying
