Tagged: CrossOver
I have installed NewViews in CrossOver from CodeWeavers on a Mac computer.
I can access my books without any problems. Of course, I cannot edit the data. I would need to register NewViews in order to fully use the books.
I have been using NewViews on my Mac computer, running Parallels, for many years now. I am using Parallels 90% of the time because of NewViews. If I could use CrossOver instead, this would be much better. Parallels is an heavy system, compared to CrossOver.
Printing seems to be the only problem I have found so far. I get the error message:
“interface_Application does not have method or property Visible”
What is the meaning of that error?
The error message indicates that CrossOver has not implement Windows COM objects in it’s environment.
NewViews uses COM objects to direct output to Excel and Word.
Regards to All,
Martin
I have also tried with an other software called PlayOnMac. Same problem occurs. The problem is in the Wine configuration. Wine is used by both CrossOver and PlayOnMac.
What DLLs should be added to make it work? In the Wine configuration library section, I can see the following:
ole32
oleacc
oleauto32
olecli32
oledb32
oledlg
olepro32
olesvr32
olethk32
Also:
comcat
comctl32
comdlg32
comstvi
Are any of these needed? Or any other DLLs?
