I currently have the NV2 Server running on the machine that houses the data, and am able to access it from other machines on my network via workstations. (single-user mode – one at a time)
What I haven’t figured out, is how to access data remotely (via a VPN connection). What do I put in the ‘Server’ box? on the remote workstation?
Within the network, it was simply the IP of the machine running the server. But, that machine is not the same machine as my VPN server. It could be, but it isn’t currently.
You need access to that machine from the outside. The NV2 server machine would have to have another external IP address that you can connect directly or user name / IP address that you can connect through a listening server.
