ParticipantThank you for your response, but not what I was talking about,
The Books I have, been in use and ongoing since 2018. All purchases are posted in one of two Purchase Journals. One for HST paid and one for no-tax items.
Same applies to the Sales Journals.
All HST Collected in SJ’s, and all HST Paid in PJ’s show up in Report HST.So all the HST Collected up to December 31,2024 shows in the HST report account HST-COLL, in the ledger below for Jan, 2018 to Dec,2024.
But in the HST REPORT account HST-PAID, in the ledger below shows all the HST for purchases from Jan 2018 to December 31,2023, followed by one item in mid January of 2024, and no other HST from Jan 1st, 2024 to December 2024.
All the purchases are posted in the Purchase Journal(HST) up to February 2025.
So my question is ” why is the HST on not showing up like the rest of the purchases in HST-PAID”?Thanks again,

ParticipantI guess you are a Contractors Supply outlet who sells supplies for do it yourselfers’ and if they decide not to, you provide installation. What i am trying to figure out is why you need to manually calculate PST in the third journal, unless it is for employee purchases where you must recover the PST on PST Exmept Goods. Or you have bought items at a wholesaler PST exempt, that you do not resell and must recover the PST owed to the province.
If it only a matter of placing all transactions in one journal, I would use alphanumeric Reference Numbering , eg.
A1234567
B1234568
B1234569
C1234570 etc. which I was able to do in NV1A- Supplies only
B- Supplies & Installation
C- Sub-contractor, employees and Cash sales (or maybe even refunds & restocking charges).PSaikaley

sorry to keep this thread going on and on, but this is the error I get:“Attempted to install an unauthorized version of Newviews”
after running nv2.08.20070621-win32-ix86.exe. Btw,nv2.08sp17 was not installed. The last Service Pack to be installed was nv2.08sp16.
Service pack 16 is showing under Help>About also it was there that I noticed registered until April 10th,2007.

ParticipantHi Martin, I had originally installed NV2 to c:nv2 which during last year changed to d:nv2 then finally to e:nv2, after adding two new hard drives. Of which I tried to copy back to c:nv2 but to no avail would not recognize registration. So I kept a desktop shortcut to e:nv2 nv20, and have used this since then. After installing 2.08 sp17 to e:nv2, everything was fine. My Apr10,2007 cutoff date which has been now updated and purchased on July 5 or 6th. the help file on the workstation still only shows registered to Apr10,2007 even after trying to install 2.08 sp18. Also if I try to copy the nv2 folder to c:nv2 and run the executable, it continues to say not registered, regardless of the licensing.

ParticipantThank you Martin again. Btw,I also noted,if you do a text search in the Nv2manual for “T4 Summary” there are no topics found.
I found this to be odd. I know this application is used globally but I assume more in Canada and the U.S. There is more topics shown for Revenue Canada.
