On the same subject.
With the TimeCards, we can allocate the gross salary to different projects and it is easy.But what about the employer contributions like EI or any other deductions, for which the employer will also contribute. Is there a way of allocating the employer portion to a specific project ?
I have figured out how.
I need to use TimeCards, which I have never used before.
Some learning for me.Just to clarify what I said above :
Yes, the position is selected on the left side, but with a large number of Accounts, Sub Accounts, Journals, Sub Journals, Reports and Sub Reports, even if the position is selected, we need to scroll to see it.
I made a copy of the books and did a reorganize.
No luck, still the same.In the copy of the books, I created another budget. But when I specify the Partition Tag, newviews enters “financial budget”
This works for a general journal transaction where the debit and the credit can be located in the detail part.
But with a bank deposit journal, the bank account cannot be in the detail part.
I removed any backup files present in the nv2 folder where workstation.nv2 is located and there is no automatic backup done. I entered and existed NewViews a few times.
It used to work and I do remember it was once a week.
There must be a reason why I get the error:
“Unable to set ColumnWidth property of the Range class”No one else seems to get that error.
I mentioned the problem to an Excel pro and he does not see how this could be linked to a language issue. According to him, the (procedure, function or methods – not sure of the correct name) are not language dependant.
I am trying to create my own template.
The template is very simple, with one cell name only, for testing.
I get a different error than mentioned before:invalid command name “::qw::com::application::excel::excel0”
Since I got no reply or comment, I am going to have to enter transactions the regular way into NewViews.
I looked at the script. Unfortunately this is not what I was expecting. Maybe in the future there will be something closer to what I expect.

I found the problem.
It is with the workstation.nv2 file.
It is not the first time there is a problem in my books, and I discover this is linked to that file.
I needed to access the data file using another workstation.nv2.
