When you run the REPORT procedure, use the Global setting to enter Company Name, then print the Setup or Analysis report for the period you want.
Win Vista, at least the Home Premium version, still has the Command Prompt which takes you the DOS PROMPT.
From there the dos commands I tried worked fine. I created a directory, a batch file and had the file execute the commands entered.
Seem MS has not given up on us old timers yet.
Vista Update:
I’m told that the 32bit version of Vista is installed on most new computers.
I just bought a new computer for a client with Vista Home Premium installed. Loaded NV1 onto the computer and NV1 works fine.
Backup your data and run Reorganize. It is probably the size of the books. If it is a ledger size, NV stores more info on Ledgers than the number of entries shown. Re-organize will clean up the data.
I have switched all my clients to the new cheque format with PD7, without any printing problems.
Rather than use the new templates, I copied the old templates and modified them for the new changes. This was much easier than trying to modify the new ones.
This is the line you should be typing for the net use command
net use LPT1: \WKOHP2200 /PERSISTENT:YES
When it finishes type
net use Enter
and you should see LPT1 listedParse the template. If using Dot Matric printer #lines sb 42 and longest line 80. I Laser #lines sb 60 and longest line 80.
If any of the above don’t match, make corrections in template and re-parse.
Right Click on My Computer then Computer Name. Full Computer Name is shown.
Bring up Printers and Right click on printer, then Sharing. Share name shown.

What is in the YTD slot on your template? The YTD slots are Y01, Y02, etc and should record the earnings or deduction extension, ie: Y18 =?MISC
