    Following the error, Excel is left opened with 2 windows :
    1- the actual template file
    2- a new file which has all the template information, without any data; the whole template section is selected (highlighted)

    Historic Aging is set to no

    In fact, the error occurs when I set Print Transaction Detail to yes. There is no error, if I set it to no.

    I just called your support line.

    They told me I cannot use Office365 because it is not installed on the computer and needs internet access all the time to run.

    As a test, I disabled my internet connection and I ran Excel with not problem. I cannot access my files on OneDrive, but I can access files on my computer.

    So, the question remains: Why is it not possible to use it with NewViews?

    In the near future, many NewViews users will be using Office365.

    There should be nothing like this.

    I don’t understand why I am the one who has to make all the effort and research to get your program working properly.

    You have to provide more information about how to resolve the issue.

    You are the only software I have ever used that relies on an independent third party to print its reports.

    I have to point out a few things here (comments based on my personal experience with NewViews):
    – Ottawa is not in Quebec.
    – Your software is not available in French.
    – French accented characters cannot be used in nv2.
    – I have had some issues with the French version of Excel.

    Just realized that “the Proof Account at the bottom of the Trial Balance Report was not set to Perpetual”.

    The trial balance report proof account is equal to zero, in all views: Setup and Multiple Period Analysis, with no date range or with various date ranges. All accounts do total the trial balance.

    It is only when I use the Trial Balance Tab (View) that the totals do not match.

    Suggestion : the prompt should clearly indicate “Table Template” or “Document Template”.

    Now, what about the General Journals?

    It is very difficult to print that kind of journal. Is it possible to do it?

    I need to make the data available to people in the organization outside of NewViews. I want to create 2 types of files:
    1) Transactions for each ledger account for the period (that is working fine)
    2) All journal entries – I can manage with the Purchase, Sales, Deposit, Payment journals. But the General Journal is very complicated to produce. How can I do it?

    But I am still wondering why, when issuing the Print Block command and entering a template name that the template is ignored.

    My template works well for the Purchase Journal. I would like to be able to use it.

    I have been able to create a template that sort of works. But there are some problems.
    I am working with the Purchase Journal.

    I issue the menu option: Print Block
    In the prompt, I enter the information needed, including the template name and location.
    The resulting report is the same as if I had not placed a template.
    The template is ignored. Why is that the case?

    If I use the menu option: Print Invoices and specify the same template, it print correctly, except for the fact that all the data is adjusted to fit on one page, as if it was an invoice. It is then impossible to print a full month or a year of journal entries.

    I have also tried with an other software called PlayOnMac. Same problem occurs. The problem is in the Wine configuration. Wine is used by both CrossOver and PlayOnMac.

    What DLLs should be added to make it work? In the Wine configuration library section, I can see the following:




    Are any of these needed? Or any other DLLs?

    Suggestion for QW Page: inside the prompt, you should rename “Template” for “Formatting Template”. This would be clearer.

    Yes, I would like to be able to print transactions from a journal including details.
