    Try c:/nv2/nv20.dat/object/newviews/t4-laser-2007.xls

You can also press the F3 key next to template and navigate the folders NV2 > nv20.dat > object > newviews > t4-laser-2007.xls

Re-enter another sales transactions to verify that all three settings have been set (the sales jounal, the sales accounts, and the AR accounts).

If you change them after entering a transaction you may have to re-enter the transaction.

It is ready in 2.09.8 and it copies the account layout so you do not need to delete any transactions.

The update to 2.09 created a new workstation with default settings.

Once the folders have been activated and setup the above message will not occur again. You can now setup your custom report settings with the F11 key (Window > Define Columns) and save your custom layouts using the new button for recall via the account button.

Ensure that the journal being used is one which calculates taxes and the change to tax will be automatic. Use the SI journal instead of DEFAULT.

If you have followed all of the steps in regards to installing and configuring DOS2USB you should be able to use LPP1 as the file name in /Print Options.

If you have followed the steps and have LPT1 specified as file name in your print options, direct your question their contact email addresses.

Go into the books and issue /GR SUPPORT and press enter. Note the procedure library version. If it is version 10b or below you need to find your version 12 installation diskettes and install. From this support screen, note the second line pertaining to NewViews program directory. If the current version is installed in C:NV install version 12 in the same directory.

Once you have installed version 12 in the correct program directory, run the GETLIB procedure and enter NV1 to up date to version. Run the the SUPPORT procedure again and verify next to procedure library version that version 12 is indeed installed.

The notices that templates will be skipped indicated that these templates have been altered and will not be overwritten.

2008 Payroll and productivity disk #7 require version 12. Until you can install version 12 in the correct NewViews program directory, payroll and PD#7 will not be properly installed.

The template method at present is not ready yet but there is a method that you can use in 2.08.8 and above.

First create a new application database and then open both application databases in your NV2 workstation. From the working application, copy the accounts by blocking all the accounts (ALT BA) and the Block Copy (ALT BC) and then click the copy to clipboard button. In new application, create the report (or the report you had copied from in the working application and then in the account setup view click Blpaste (ALT BP) and then click the Copy from Clipboard button.

Once in your display window of Block Copy/Paste in your new application, click the paste button.

    John,

On the workstation where the problem is occuring, move the workstation.nv2 file that you are using (usually in the NV2 folder but check the properties of the NV2 icon to be sure) and then click on your NV2 Icon which will create a new workstation for you. Enter the server IP and press F3 under file after inserting a new row in your new workstation table. Enter the application database.

The account selection window should follow your keystrokes and should be responsive when you press enter. See How to make NewViews 2 run faster which is at our web site at http://www.qwpage.com for more information below the Breaking News section of the web page.

You can also use your keyboard. ALT+BS and click (cursor to) the last item ALT+BE. The option to hide the menu could be a user configuration option.

If you do not wish to see the Line/Row column, click on a value within the column and Ctrl+Del to remove the column from view. I like the column for sorting when reviewing a transaction and then reviewing the transaction in its placement in the cross account.

See Help > Keyboard in regards to Shift and Control keys.
