Go to your Income Statement and select a default setting by clicking the Account Button. Press F11 which will display a Define Columns Window. Click New which will create a Copy of that layout.
Change the layout by removing the line column (Ctrl + Del) in a field in the line column and move columns (Ctrl Arrow keys) if desired. Once you have the layout you want, press F11 again and enter a name to replace the Copy of name above and press enter.
You can use this window setting to print your reports. Use this method to create other layouts for your other reports. Click the Account button on your different reports to call up your saved window settings.

Remember a Window > Default Setup will return the Window to normal 2.09 settings.

MSchapplerModeratorAre all Sales Journals tags set? Check Journals, Settings.
Check System > Audit > path for any clues.

MSchapplerModeratorYes, check the Trade Information of the expense, journal and vendor to ensure that taxes are charged.
If you make the change after the invoice was entered, delete the invoice and then add it again and the updated Trade Information changes will take effect.
Good to hear you like the Tabs. It does make the interface more user friendly.

MSchapplerModeratorYes. F9 is the equivalent to GOX in NV2.

MSchapplerModeratorCheck that the Journal, Sales Account(s), and the Customer charges tax by reviewing the Trade Information of each item.
If you cannot exit the application database because of this error or this error occurs each time you enter the application database, check the Sytem > Audit folder on the left explorer tree for the transaction and on the window below select Basic or Advanced to view the transaction changes and set the transaction back to it’s normal state and then review the Journal, Sales Account(s), and Customer Trade Information for the tax settings.

MSchapplerModeratorDear Goolam,
It is difficult to say at moment. This will not be part of the next major update to NV2 which is 2.10.
When 2.10 is released, you may see Point of Sale and Scanning in the Whats Coming section of Appendix A of the NV2 Manual.

MSchapplerModeratorLorna,
Click the word Line in the Line column so the cevron is pointing downward (v) which will sort the accounts in line order. Block the account you want to move and then click on the line where you want to move it to and then right mouse click Block > Move > Insert (or ALT + BMI).

MSchapplerModeratorLorna,
Users I have come accross have added an new earnings account and set the tax treatment to Regular Wages and paid it on a separate Payrun within a Pay Period along with the normal regular wages.
The sticky point was having them understand that the Income Tax deducted is within the entire pay period and not just that Retro Pay.

Martin
MSchapplerModeratorInteresting. I’ll have a look at the cause and have it looked at for for an update to NV2. It may not be included in the 2.09.7 update which should be released today or tomorrow.

Martin

MSchapplerModeratorGo to the workstation and printout the workstation table (Print > All and set the destination to display).
Close NV2 down (ALT X) and then open windows explorer on your system and navigate to the C drive and double click on the NV folder. Right mouse click on the workstation folder and click rename. Rename the folder to old_workstation.
Double click on your NV2 Workstation icon and let NV2 create a new workstation table for you. Once done, enter the rows from your Excel display into your new workstation and perform a default setup.
You should be able to correct this entry problem now.
Please do not post bug errors here. Send them to support@qwpage.com

Martin
MSchapplerModeratorRename the workstation file (usually workstation.nv2) to workstation.old and then enter NV2 which will create a new workstation.nv2 file for you. Add the rows to your new workstation to access your application databases and click setup when asked to perform a default setup.

Martin
