Run the procedure GETLIB and when prompted to install procedure library, enter

    NV1

    Press F5 to contine.

This should update the procedure library to the most recent procedure library of NV1. Run GETLIB again and enter the path c:NV2NVEXPORT

You need to either change the edit dates or designate this task to a user who has the proper dates set so the partial payment can be applied correctly to provide the proper AR aging.

No, this would not cause a problem. A user could log into the books from different locations at the same time.

In regards to missing data, you should check for a file called NV20.LOG in the root of your NV2 program folder. It appends errors encountered while operating NV2. In many cases reorganizing the books from the NewViews 2.0 windows menu will solve the encountered errors.

Click Help > About either from the workstation or from within your application database to verify that you are using the most recent version of NV2. The current version is 2.08.16 (version 2.08 service pack 16). If you are using a prior version then get the latest version of NV2 from http://www.qwpage.com and install it on top of your current version.

Bandwidth is the issue. The greater the bandwidth in your wireless connection equals better performance from your network (TCP/IP) connection.

Celeron Processors are fine for applications that reside in memory until a write to disk is performed (like Word or Excel) but using Celeron processors with applications that require random access lookups/searches (heavy lifting) and constant screen updates fall short in performance.

Adding more memory won’t help either.

Enter the following on the Description of AR report:

    My Company – Accounts Receivable

In your Print Options set Status Line to Yes. When Printing the Setup and Analysis View – Print Document will show the above Description.

Set the Status line Comment in PRTACCTS to the name you wish for printing account ledgers.

    Perry,

The T4 Summary can be printed from the T4 List selection. Next year there will be a clearer script to print the T4 Summary information like there was in NV1.

Use the T4 List window selection from your employees table and also use Payroll Report to report ,issing information from the T4 List. Press F3 in the value field for template and choose Payroll_CA_Advanced_3.xls as the te,plate. Add the slot variable ITEM_EIE in a separate column for EI Insurable Earnings and at the bottom of the column EIE for the total Insurable Earnings.

    Dear Goolam,

Sorry for the delay. I was promissed that a fix would be forth coming and my current information is Monday Jan Feb 26, 2007.

To get the correct YTD numbers, run PRREPORT in a summary with the dates of
    (1) March 1, 2006 to December 31, 2006. Do the same for
    (2) January 1 to February 28, 2007.

I suggest that you copy your current template by doing /BI to file name and then create a new template with the description ~PRREPORT and then expand into the notes view and cursor down and then /Block Import the file name you had export to. Save all of the details from @ENDPAGE down to @ENDTABLE. and delete the lines above. Insert some blank lines awith the following in it:

    “@PF””@ADDR1

    “”Y01”

PARSE the template and use it to get your balances for (1) and (2) above. I would set the file name in your print options to a name that doesn’t exist and then run PRREPORT twice. Each has a different file name.

Open a spreadsheet on your system and import both files and then merge the numbers for both spreadsheets to one and use the sp[preadsheet to sum the totals.
Use delimited and use as a delimited other character along with Tabs. This will separate the data into differnet coloumns.

Note, you can get more information in the above template by adding more slot names.

Sorry for the delay and I’ll post the programmers fix for the YTD totals here on February 26, 2007.

    Martin

Service Pack 16 will not help with this. This service pack is for user’s who have introduced semi-loops in their NV2 books and then change a total-to account which caused an error in 2.08.15.

Are the accounts that total to this account set to periodic? In a trial balance you want your balance sheet account (perpetual) totaling to the proof account with the Retained earnings set to Open and have have your periodic accounrs (set to periodic) totaling to the Retained Earnings account. The retained earnings account would total to the proof account like the perpetual.

Yes. Fast Access must be be set of off on Windows systems 95 and above.

I suggest that you run check books from the NewViews shell to determine if there is damage in your NV1 database when you clicked Ignore.

    Regards,

    Martin
