The next update to NV2 will have improved Account Ledger printing. Version 2.09 should be released at the end of Fubruary 2007.
An opening balance amount will appear in 2.09.
In version 2.08, set the begining date to include all entries to print the perpetual balance.

MSchapplerModeratorIt sounds as if the the template length is too long. Shorten the template by removing lines (/ED) above the @ENDPAGE.
Do not remove lines in the stub portions of the template.

MSchapplerModeratorHere is an excellent link to configure your system to redirect printing.

MSchapplerModeratorDear Goolam,
That’s a pretty old US Accrual & Cash library. I’ll look into it and see what can be done.

MSchapplerModeratorTry a different number under Cursor in Odds & Ends. Cursor 21 uses the DOS cursor with Cursor Option set to ON under Options in the NewViews shell.
You have twenty two choices of a cursor dusplay (0-21), go to cursor under Odds & Ends and change the value to display the cursor appearance you want.
This cursor option displays different results with different or new hardware.

MSchapplerModeratorDear Goolam,
The year to date totals in PRREPORT are supposed to give the calendar year to date totals. Since the South African payroll year is between March 1 to February 28 you will need to adjust PRREPORT’s YTD mechanism to suit your needs.
What version of USA payroll do you have installed in your books? Run the procedure SUPPORT in your books and quote the Payroll Library version.

MSchapplerModeratorIf the up to date hardware is configured correctly for the operating system, applications like NV2 will run faster.
Windows Vista can utilize up to 128 GIG of memory which is significaantly helps applications that require memory to perform as opposed to Windowes XP 32 bit which didn’t take advantage of memory over 2 Gig.

MSchapplerModeratorCurrently there are no ODBC drivers available to access NV2. What you can do for now is Print > All to an Excel spreadsheet (destination display) and then use the Excel ODBC drivers that come with windows.

MSchapplerModeratorDownload the latest version of NVEXPORT from http://www.qwpage.com > NV2 for Windows > Converting from NV1. Page down and you will see a link to download the latest version of NVEXPORT.
If you have NV2 installed on your system and it is later than April 2006. Run the procedure GETLIB in your books and enter NVEXPORT and press F5 to continue.
If NV1 is installed in C:nv and NV2 is installed in C:nv2 then run GETLIB and enter the following:
c:nv2nvexport
Press F5 to continue.
To verify that you have version 73 installed, run the procedure NVEXPORT. The version number is displayed on your screen.
